Read moreI haven’t played with my food for a while! But today I did; I just wasn’t feeling very hungry… Spot the face:

And then I mixed it all up and ated it

Luckily, I didn’t get told off by the parents to “stop playing with food”
Absolutely awesome colour! I loved the colour on the website and I loved it in the bottle… time to put it to the test!
With the bottle came a label that says that with the suede range, (a) it won’t last as long as the normal range of polishes, and (b) not to put top coat, drying products, hand lotion, and (c) to do an all suede.
I don’t know why but I decided to put base coat on (since it’s not technically a top coat…) and then painted my left hand (I’m right handed)… Turned out to be the hardest thing I’ve ever painted on my nails!!! First stroke (middle of the finger) comes out perfectly, next one practically scraped off the first stroke, and so on… it was practically too slippery… But I finished the left hand with two coats. Looks lovely, but I got it all over my fingers (eek!).
Time for the right hand, the one I dread doing… it turned out tremendously monstrously horrid that I had to remove everything (with great difficulty trying not to touch the left fingernails!).
Deciding against a base coat and painted… Much easier but still tough!!! I only had to remove my pinky nail with this. So definitely no base coat!
The left hand (with base coat) looks a tad shinier than the right… but not paying so much attention to it, they look pretty much the same! And because of the texture of my finished nails (a little bit rough – I’m scared it will rub onto my clothes, etc), I’m really tempted to put top coat on to smooth it out a bit… but because it said not to, I’ll probably hold out this time and test it next time to see what’s different.
So yeah, difficult, otherwise lovely!!! <3

Edit again for a camera pic:

Not wanting to have to pay $20 a bottle of OPI, I resorted to eBay and placed an order for 2 bottles of OPI polishes and the OPI Nail Polish Lacquer Thinner (I asked some SA for some thinner and they said they haven’t heard of them before…). And because I couldn’t find any Seche Vite fast drying top coat, I ordered that too.
Couple days ago, we got a call from the Australian Post informing us that we had a package that smelt very strong and there were leakages. Knowingly, we told them what it was. How disappointing!
Yesterday, we received the package and it was wrapped with a plastic bag. To my relief, the 3 bottles of nail polishes were fine… It was the thinner that leaked in the post through the bag/envelope and all! That was weird because I initially thought the thinner would be the only thing what hadn’t leaked because of the plastic bottle! But I was pleased as it was the least important to me at this stage!
The I checked out why it leaked. The poster actually wrapped it nicely, so it wasn’t their fault. What I think is the bottle itself induced this leakage. So sigh of relief that I’ll be able to keep buying polishes overseas… but don’t think I’ll buy the thinner! Plus, even thought half of it leaked (full bottle is 60 ml), I reckon it’s plenty of the stuff cos I only need a few drops at a time, and won’t be needing it any time soon!
So big smiles there after expecting the worst! Now to try the colours on me… =]

Read moreI was sussing out Tiffany & Co last month or so, admiring everything on the Australian website and all… I popped into their stores and whilst I liked everything, I didn’t want anything…? I think it’s cos everyone has the signature “Return to Tiffany & Co” love heart, and the rest of it… And I lost interest for a while… Until I read somewhere that the US site supposdly have more variations… so I sussed that out today.
And maybe it’s just me, but I’ve never seen this beauty?

Ok, I definitely haven’t seen this one floating around the Australian T&Co!

I’m sure there’s plenty more to grace this area…

EDIT: I just went to the Aussie site and these were on it!
As we all know, credit card = trouble. Especially for me. Lately.
So all my iphone apps are the free ones, which are good enough in my opinion. I have so much fun with them as is. Some I discover and forget about, others I check religiously (to the point where it can be perceived as “unhealthy”)!
So some I use everyday are:
Some of the ones I use occasionally:
Some I think are too cool for school:
So that’s all for now! I’m the type who will go to itunes, browse free apps, and then download interesting looking ones (mostly whatever is in the top spot at that time), and never discover them. I’m hoping to play around with a few (only when I feel like it) to know which of them are worthy to keep. But for now, I’m lazy (-_-)… Also regarding the lack of credit card… I *am* thinking of buying pre-paid itunes gift card for those non-free apps though (I love tetris and would love to play scrabble!)… but again, when I am bothered…
Read moreI met up with the uni gang last night at a Korean BBQ place to have catch up dinner as we haven’t had a proper one all summer!
I wore my new flats and brought a change of sandals, but when I got off the train, the shoes were cutting me so deeply I had to change almost straight away. Walking was fine after that, was I ended up being the first one to get there (most of us knew where it was). So I took a table for 8, and the waiter showed me to the outside area (some of us liked that, while others hated it).
Whilst on my iphone and ipod, feeling a little bored, DZ and KW turned up. Then it was GT. Another while, AG called to ask where it was (371 and 371 on the opposite sides were quite far away from one another, and that confused both AG and AT, the latter whom I went to collect after many phone calls!). KW went to get AT, GT went to get money and offered to look for AT, and after not returning, I went to look for AT and saw HL and LC were outside looking for AT. Needless to say, all was confusing until we all got to the table.
Next confusing thing was the ordering. W e had 8 people, 2 BBQ cookers, so we splitted into 2 groups of 4′s. We settled on ordering double of each dish, but I wanted to try more stuff (without the repeat cos I figured we could’ve shared), and it was all too confusing until we agreed on ordering for ourselves separately. I don’t know how, but we ended up with mostly the same dishes anyway *sweatdrops* I didn’t get to take individual photos cos the guys wanted badly to dig in! haha typical!
Madang, Pitt street, City

Marinated chicken, Beef ribs, Dumplings

Ox tongue, Pork brisket, Korean “gyoza”?

A repeat! Haha

Side dishes, Soft shell crab
Cooking (I didn’t do it haha), conversing and eating was a joy! Many high times (how I missed them!), many current affairs, many memories brought back while eating a whole week’s serve of meat! And how we finished it, I do not know. But we did without any to spare! It was satisfying =]
Walking out wih a full stomach, we walked to Darling Harbour where we were to play bowling. Couple of people didn’t want to, and since there was laser tag there, we decided to play that instead. So, I was in sandals and a dress, the other girls were in uncomfy shoes… but what the heck! We all did. 3 games worth! Since it was my first time, I was naturally unequipped, and lost miserably. I improved the next two rounds; in fact, we girls team (with Mr AG) won the 2nd round and took victory photos (and defeat photos of the boys) as proof! Ah that was fun!
After that, we parted ways. It’s been fun, and hopefully have a repeat of the amount of fun some time soon!
Read moreIt’s very sunny out, I just got back from a stroll in the park. I don’t normally walk by myself, I just do the lap and go home. But today, after my lap, I walked through the grass, and found a shaded spot under a tall tree, and just layed there, watching the cloudless sky. It was so nice and serene; it reminded me of childhood.
Must do this more often.
