Pre-Graduation Mani & Pedi

One day till my graduation! So excited!

Went to the City for a French manicure and pedicure before meeting up my Antigen buddy and Viral friend! :D

Anyway. The French manicure was straight forward. They asked what I wanted for my pedicure.

“Meet me on the star ferry by OPI” I stated.

They didn’t understand. So I repeated a few times, and they just brought me a whole lot of purple polishes (since my top is purple) for me to choose. I chose Lourve me lourve me not, topped with an OPI name that escapes me.

One lady working on my hands (let’s call her Ms-Mani), another on my toe nails (Ms-Pedi). Seems nice enough.

Until I heard the Ms-Pedi tell the Ms-Mani in Vietnamese: “It’s so hard to remove her toe nail polish”.

I don’t understand heaps of Vietnamese, but I get the gist of a fewthings. And it was then I started to worry… A little.

And then Ms-Pedi asked me what I had on my toe nails, to which I replied “Absolutely Alice”. They’ve not heard of it before, and no amount of polish remover can get it off! I didn’t recall having that much of a hard time removing it. Sure it was difficult, but it still came off!

So by then, I started to freak out a little and was tempted to ask her to stop… but that seemed rude… So i just sat still, watching Ms-Mani do my French tips.

Ms-Mani said to Ms-Pedi in Vietnamese again: “her nails are really nice”, but Ms_Pedi wasn’t paying attention cos she was having such a hard time.

Then I felt something weird. I looked down. Ms-Pedi had a nail filer, and was filing away at my toe nail. ARGH!

By then, I started to have a mini panic attack.

But I kept calm, since it’s only technically supposed to remove my polish, and I can still see the polish so it’s not going anywhere yet.

She used polish remover, then filed, then polish remover etc etc… I don’t know how many times, and then started to paint my toe nails when most of the old polish was off.

So I just sat there…

In the end, it turned out alright actually. My toe cuticles hurt a little, and my French tips looks nice.

Although it is my second pedi, and as pretty as it was, I don’t think I’ll get another one again.

Save my money for more colours <3

But! I heart this Frenchie!

I’m ready for tomorrow!
