So I knew I had to be at uni for a while on a beautiful Saturday like this, but I thought I’d be able to leave relatively early (read: 4 PM) to go to an Alannah Hill boutique to check out the boots I’m lemming!

Nope, I didn’t get to go.

No matter, I was glad to have had a productive day at uni, and there’s always tomorrow for that (even though I’m most likely going to uni again!).

It was 7 PM when we reached to the City, and felt like I need an impromptu haircut (not quite, as I’ve been wanting one for a while now and just didn’t know which cut to get). The place I was going to go to (Takeshi and Team) apparently closes at 8 PM, so technically, there was plenty of time. When I got there, some staff were cleaning and closing up!

A little disappointed, Mr AG suggested that we take a walk in Darling Harbour to soak up the lovely evening (the weather was perfect!).

Off we went, strolling, catching a glimpse of the lovely Ferris wheel!

Next thing we know, we were on it

Wish I had a better camera to capture some nice night lights!

The ride wasn’t a smooth continuous one but one that stops every so often to allow people to get on the ride… so needless to say, it was interupted, and I didn’t feel like I was on for a ride but hanging in the air half the time!

Because we were taking many photos (like the obligatory blog photo of me above), the people in the carriage next to us started to mock us by posing in an exaggerated manner, trying to catch Mr AG’s attention. But Mr AG is Mr zen man (he seriously is), and he just ignored it.

The rest of our stroll was good; we watched Beat the Street’s street performance (which was delightful once again), and decided that we should have dinner. And it was sure an unsatisfying dinner… I’m going to continue it in this post, so I can end this post on a lighter note.

Anyway, this is what I wore today:

I found myself finishing uni late again tonight, so I volunteered for Mr AG to pick me up… and thank goodness he was there when I was the last one in lab!

As I was concentrating on something, I heard a loud whoop whoop noise, and freaked out so badly! For the remaining of the evening, I had him stand right next to me in case I heard noises and freaked out again.

A bloke from another lab came and asked if I heard that, and apparently, there were fire trucks outside the building. As we left, the corridor doors were shut, and we pushed through and left as quickly as we could. Till now, I still don’t know what it was… perhaps a false call?

Anyway, we were glad to be out of there. Cold and hungry, we wandered into Taste of Thai (Randwick), and had a dinner there.

Talks weren’t without food and drinks break before continuing again.

Not shown are the biscuit platters, cheese platters, and drinks.

Met up with Weed buddy at Central and caught a train to Circular Quay together…

We were so lost (well, I was…) trying to get there! But alas, we found it!

Had such an amazing day!! All very enjoyable, and it was all because of the loved ones who’d turn up for me!

After a tiring day of walking, we had celebratory dinner at Thai Riffic, Randwick.

Ordered a whole heap of pizzas, including a lactose-free one to accommodate my lacto-ness!

And then played pool at LS’s place.

Morning: Ritual birthday breakfast (clear vermicelli with hard boiled eggs). Vermicelli symbolising long life… don’t know what the egg is for, but I love eggs in all forms, so I enjoyed it immensely

Evening: Dinner at Hurstville Chinese seafood restaurant, Hurstville.

Format: 4 “short answer” questions (aka shorter essay questions!), 10 marks each.

Time spent: 15 hours in the last 24 hours + more beforehand
Pass rate: Slim

I screwed it.
I screwed it BAD.

I can’t believe this.

During the exam, I got confused with the organisms!

I wrote a whole lot for question one’s organism and wrote nothing for question two’s when the answer I’ve written for question one should be for question two!!!

I mean, we must’ve learnt all the techniques (how certain microorganisms affect their host) for 7 different types of E.coli + other organisms (Samonella, Shigella, Vibrio, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumonia…), but still!!!

There goes my 50% of the paper, just like that.

Furthermore, I didn’t write in so much detail when that’s what they have been looking for!

How screwed am I?!

I need a free day today… =(
