Uni Incident, Thai Food, ASOS Coat+Mac

I found myself finishing uni late again tonight, so I volunteered for Mr AG to pick me up… and thank goodness he was there when I was the last one in lab!

As I was concentrating on something, I heard a loud whoop whoop noise, and freaked out so badly! For the remaining of the evening, I had him stand right next to me in case I heard noises and freaked out again.

A bloke from another lab came and asked if I heard that, and apparently, there were fire trucks outside the building. As we left, the corridor doors were shut, and we pushed through and left as quickly as we could. Till now, I still don’t know what it was… perhaps a false call?

Anyway, we were glad to be out of there. Cold and hungry, we wandered into Taste of Thai (Randwick), and had a dinner there.

    hi there,

was googling on ASOS Hitch Hem Coat and got to your page. just wanted to ask a couple of questions if you don’t mind. was the coat you bought grey and how is the sizing like? i am usually an AU 14 – 16 but thought that UK sizes might be bigger. would i get away with a UK 12? thanks in advance!

    cheers

    Hello there :D

I bought the grey coat (it’s a darker grey). I am a typical AU 10, bought the UK 10, and I can wear it comfortably with a jacket underneath.

To be honest, I don’t think I’d get this a size down for myself (UK 8)… Firstly, I want to be able to wear other layers underneath, and secondly, I don’t think a size UK 8 can accommodate for the chest area (the AU 10 *just* fits in my case).

So short answer is, I don’t think the coat is generous enough to size down.

oh dear. mine is gonna be toooo tiny for myself then! :( i may have to return it but the coat is soooooo pretty! haha, thanks for your help anyway. do you know anything about their exchange/refund policies?

Aww, hopefully it will work out for you! If not, that’s a shame because it is very adorable (I especially love the back hitch hems!).

I don’t know much about their refund/exchange policies, actually.

I think if it’s their fault (eg. if they sent you the wrong size/colour, defects), then you can send it back, scan your postage receipt to them, and once everything is cleared, they’ll refund you.

If it’s because you changed your mind, then you’ll have to pay the postage, which I heard can be a bit expensive. It might be worth looking into selling it online instead.

In any case, if you do decide to return it, I think it’s better to opt for registered post, or an option that will ensure that you send back to them on time.

    But, fingers crossed :)
