Winter In Sydney, 2010

A thread in the vogue forums has got me thinking about this winter.

I really do feel blah in winter.

Not only because I am too cold to function (especially with the recent death of my trusty heater!), and thus having to wear tons and tons that I cannot function properly, but it goes down with everything I do.

So apart from the layer after layer of clothing I pack on, the clothing article itself is insipid (just jeans+many tops+scarf… since no one’s gonna see anyway), giving me another reason to feel blah. And because I’m seemingly colder than the vast majority, 6 pieces of clothing results in me feeling extra chunky (probably also contributed by weight gain). Especially with the heavy backpack I carry to uni everyday!

On the topic of looking and feeling blah, winter = flaky skin. It gets dried from my burning hot showers (I know it’s bad), and being in the lab means I’m constantly washing hands! It gets super irritated when I accidentally spill fish sauce on the back of my hands. Yeeeouch! >_<

And my lips! It gets cracked down the middle, and a simple act of smiling hurts! So no smiling please or it’ll start to bleed!

I don’t know if it’s just me, but this winter has been really cold! And apparently, this isn’t so bad! I’d hate to imagine being in somewhere colder right now; I don’t think I’d survive.
